Privacy Policy

Last updated June 2026

Vinconex is a vehicle QR lead-generation platform operated by CraveBeast LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect when you scan a Vinconex QR code, use a dealership's Vinconex pages, or sign in to the dashboard — and what we do with it.

  1. 01

Who we are and our role

CraveBeast LLC provides Vinconex to dealerships (“dealers”). When you leave your details on a dealer's Vinconex page, that dealer is the business you're contacting and decides how to use your information (it is the data controller); CraveBeast LLC processes it on the dealer's behalf and on the terms of our Data Processing Addendum. For dashboard accounts (dealer staff) and our own website, CraveBeast LLC is the controller.

  2. 02

    What we collect from shoppers

Only what you type or say: your name, mobile number and/or email, optional comments (typed or spoken — voice is transcribed to text and the audio is not kept), your answers to the specialist-match questions, and which vehicle and dealership page you were on. Automatically: the time of the scan, whether the page was opened from a QR code, and standard technical data (IP address, browser type). We do not track you across other websites and we do not sell your information.

  3. 03

    Why we use it

To send your request to the dealership's CRM so a salesperson can follow up; to show you what you unlocked (a lower price, a CARFAX report, a payment calculator or a repair estimate) for about an hour; to match you with a specialist when you ask; and to keep the service secure and working.

  4. 04

    Who receives it

The dealership you contacted (delivered to its CRM by email as an ADF lead). Service providers that host and run Vinconex for us: cloud hosting and database, email delivery (IONOS), object storage, and an AI provider that summarises comments and transcribes voice notes — each bound by contract to use the data only to provide the service. We disclose information to authorities only when the law requires it.

  5. 05

    How long we keep it

Shopper contact details are removed from Vinconex after 24 months by default (the dealership can shorten or extend this); after that the lead remains only as an anonymised record. Dealership staff account records are kept while the account exists and for 13 months afterwards in our audit log. Backups are retained for 30 days.

  6. 06

    Your choices and rights

You can ask the dealership, or us at contact@vinconex.com, to see, correct or delete the details you left. Dealer admins can delete a shopper's data from their dashboard in one click, which scrubs every lead from that person at their dealership. Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and other states with privacy laws have the right to access, delete and correct personal information and to opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share personal information for advertising.

  7. 07

    Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS). Dashboard access uses hashed passwords, breached-password screening, an emailed one-time code for platform accounts, server-side sessions that expire after inactivity, and a tamper-evident audit log. See our Security page for the full list of controls.

  8. 08

    Children

Vinconex is for adults shopping for vehicles. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16; if you believe a minor has left details, tell us and we will delete them.

  9. 09
